“ Very well made food in nice neighborhood setting. Dishes are flavorful and staff are kind and attentive. I reccomend trying some of the chefs reccomendations - delicious! ”
“ Friendly, reasonable, delicious. London is known for its Indian food. We were extremely pleased with this pleasant, unpretentious, reasonable and friendly restaurant on a recent visit to London. It can be very difficult to find open restaurants in London during the Christmas holiday. Fortunately, Cafe Tiffin maintains very flexible hours. If you have a chance, this restaurant is definitely worth a try. ”
“ This is a really good place to get food to go. The location is nice but if you choose to have food on site you will wait an hour before being served your dish. I think they do this so you buy a lot of appetizers. I would highly recommend the cheese Naan, excellent. Their homemade lemonade is also original and very good. They have excellent vegetarian options including their dhaal and motor paneer (yes, I like cheese, who doesn't?). They also do a lot of Pakistani food, I have tried some of it and it is good and quite different from Indian food. ”
“ This is our local affordable Indian takeout go-to. The vegetable sides are generous portions and super flavourful, the proteins are similarly delicious and our orders are typically ready within 10-15 mins - no complaints! ”
“ Really excellent neighborhood curry house. Menu has a meal for two for £23, which includes: 2 appetizers- Lamb tikka- grilled tender with the right amount of spice. Onion bhaji- large and crisp on the outside, however could have used some dipping sauce. 2 mains- Chicken tikka masala- tender chicken with some of the best masala sauce I have had. Very rich and with a hint of spice. Perfect with the naan. Lamb jalfrezi- also good sauce and included vegetables. Abounded actually eating the chili peppers. Side vegetable- Cauliflower- I digest the actual name for this dish, but tender cauliflower cooked in curry spices. Peshwary naan- oven fresh with crisp outer edges and a soft center. Rice- no complaints here. The staff took pride in their freshly made food. The waiter recommended the "chefs special" next time as the dish cooked for the employees. He has very considerate and made sure we enjoyed our food. Also the place was byob. If in the clerkenwell area and looking for a low key good deal curry, I recommend this place wholeheartedly. Can't wait to return. ”
“ What a lovely Indian, a little gem, when I say little, I mean it, there's only about 6 tables in the place, the reason I found this was it was on Tastecard, so that meant 2 for 1 on starters and mains. The location is great, just next to the famous Electrical Olive Oil shop... The staff were super friendly when I booked up and when we arrived, the table was waiting for us and the prices in general were cheap anyway without any discounts. They also do BYOB, which is perfect! ”
“ Cafe Tiffin is my quick, inexpensive neighbourhood Indian takeaway in Clerkenwell. Their vegetable sides at £3 each, which is a steal - plus it means you can have a few flavours without paying like crazy. It's often quiet, so orders are made promptly, and you can often find discounts (e.g., here on Yelp, or they do Tastecard). My personal favourites include daal masala (as I search London for good daal dishes, this one isn't bad), chana masala, and their chicken korma (which as another reviewer also noted is quite sweet, but I'm learning that's a very London phenomenon). The service is absolutely lovely and they may be the most polite people I've ever been served by in London (consistently, too...which I can tell you because I kind of go here a lot). They also have delivery via Hungryhouse and likely others, if you'd rather). ”
